Another card class...

I received a wonderful compliment at my 2nd card class on Saturday - a lovely lady named Jacqui said she'd learnt more in 3 hours with me than she had in the last 5 years of scrap booking! Goodness gracious I was taken aback! Thank you Jacqui!

Here's a pic of one of the cards we made - a stair step card - using a wonderful Great Impressions (South Africa) topiary stamp, and Twinkling H2O's.

CS is White Bazzil, 15 wide x 20cm long.
Score the card at 2, 4, 7, 10 and 15 cm
Make mountain folds on the 2, 7 and 15cm score lines
Cut scrapbook paper (green in this case) to fit each of the mountain folds
Distress the edges of the scrapbook paper and ink them with the distress ink applicator and Ranger's Shabby Shutters Distress Ink
Stamp sentiment onto front panel using Versafine Onyx Black ink
Stamp GI Topiary with Versafine Onyx Black and emboss with Black Sparkle embossing powder
Colour topiary bushes with Twinkling H2O's and cut out each bush
Adhere to card steps using 3D foam tape
Cut and emboss butterflies using ProvoCraft butterflies
Layer the butterflies and embellishments with Ranger's Glossy Accents
Apply Diamond Stickles to the layered butterflies
Mount butterflies onto a punched out circle of complimentary scrapbook paper

A couple of steps...

I enjoy the distressed look, and here is a pic to show the difference between a distressed and non-distressed card. Both cards are edged with Shabby Shutters Distress ink.

Stamped and embossed with Black Sparkle embossing powder...

Painted with Twinkling H2O's and ready to be cut out and mounted.

Love your stair step card Helen.
You have me inspired to drag out my H20's and start using them again. hopefully they will still work as they have been sitting unused for such a long time.
